Il seguito alle già annunciate modifiche delle consegne dei velivoli A380 e A400M, Airbus conferma che interverrà anche sui ritmi di produzione dei due programmi. Il nuovo piano di produzione, presentato ieri al Comitato Aziendale Europeo (European Works Council), prevede la costruzione di sei A380 all’anno a partire dal 2020 e di otto A400M all’anno sempre dal 2020.
Airbus ha comunicato che avvierà le trattative con i sindacati sia a livello europeo che a livello nazionale per analizzare il potenziale impatto di queste misure sulla sua forza lavoro e avviare le conseguenti misure di mitigazione. In questo momento, le stime del costruttore aeronautico europeo prevedono che l’impatto massimo di queste misure di adeguamento industriale possano interessare fino a 3.700 lavoratori in Francia, Germania, Regno Unito e Spagna. La società si impegna a gestire gli esuberi in maniera responsabile ed esprime un certo ottimismo circa la possibilità di proporre ai lavoratori in esubero delle opportunità attraverso dei programmi specifici che verranno sviluppati.
“Ogni anno, Airbus gestisce una mobilità del 12% e può adattare il livello di flessibilità di divisioni, funzioni e filiali per supportare la ridistribuzione del personale alle attività di altri programmi.” Spiega un comunicato. “L’adeguamento del tasso di produzione dell’A380 segue un ordine recente che fornisce visibilità al programma per gli anni a venire. Come precedentemente annunciato, ad una base di 6 consegne all’anno, Airbus è in grado di produrre l’A380 in modo industrialmente efficiente nei prossimi anni. Questa linea di base consente ad Airbus di perseguire ulteriori campagne di vendita che potrebbero portare a livelli di produzione più elevati.”
Relativamente al programma A400M, Airbus adeguerà i ritmi di produzione dal 2020 in seguito a un confronto con i clienti di lancio del programma. La società ha assicurato che continuerà nel suo sforzo commerciale per proseguire con le esportazioni di questo velivolo.
“Airbus deve garantire il miglior flusso di produzione possibile per i suoi prodotti.” Spiega il comunicato. “Queste decisioni sull’aggiustamento dei tassi di produzione forniscono una chiara visibilità per i clienti, la catena di fornitura e i dipendenti nei prossimi anni.”

Following the previously announced changes to the A380 and A400M delivery plans, Airbus confirms the formal adjustment of production rates for its A380 and A400M programmes. The new plan, which was presented to the European Works Council yesterday, involves the production of six A380s per year starting from 2020 and eight A400Ms per year, also as of 2020.
Airbus is now entering into a formal social process with staff representatives at European and national levels to
analyse potential implications for the company’s workforce and to start joint mitigation efforts.
At this stage, Airbus estimates the maximum impact of these measures will affect up to 3,700 positions at sites across the Company’s home countries of France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain.
“Airbus is committed to managing any implications for its workforce in a responsible manner – as already successfully demonstrated on various occasions in the past.” Stated the company in a press release.
Airbus is confident that it will be able to propose opportunities to most of the affected employees through  programmes which are ramping up.
“Each year, Airbus manages 12 percent mobility and can adapt the flexibility level across divisions, functions and
subsidiaries to support redeployment of staff to other programmes’ activities.” Stated the press release. “The adjustment of the A380 production rate follows a recent order which provides visibility to the programme for the years to come. As previously announced, at a baseline of 6 deliveries per year, Airbus can produce the A380 in an industrial efficient way over the coming years. This baseline allows Airbus to pursue further sales campaigns which may lead to higher production levels.”
On the A400M programme, production will be adjusted to eight units per year as of 2020, following production of fifteen A400M in 2018 and eleven units in 2019. This adjustment is based on discussions with the A400M Launch Customer Nations. Airbus pursues export opportunities beyond this level.
“Airbus has to ensure the best possible production flow for its products.” Underlines the company in the official statement. “These rate adjustment decisions provide clear visibility for customers, the supply chain and employees
over the coming years. ”
